Can You Personally Email the Answer to My Question?
The DeafDOC can give you general information so you can better understand health issues. We may email you for more information, but we can not send you a personal reply to any question. Even though we can not answer you personally, we do read all our messages and take your comments seriously. We also post answers to your questions on our site.

Why Not?
The best person to give you medical advice, diagnoses, and treatment is your doctor or other qualified medical professional. Getting good care means talking personally with your doctor who can learn about you, knows you, and can ask you questions. They then can examine you, and - when necessary - order tests. Your provider can help recommend qualified specialists or mental health professionals and others, when needed, who are experts in your special situation. The DeafDOC website is for your information only.

What if I am Under 18 and Have a Question?
First talk to your parent or your legal guardian. They can talk with you about your needs or help you find someone who can answer your question. Your doctor, school nurse, counselor, or other adult relative can also guide you; to find out what kind of help you need.

What if this is an Emergency?
If this is an emergency or urgent, call your doctor or emergency number in your area.

About Your Privacy
